Artwork Guidelines
PrismaFLOOR Street X is an opaque white, PVC film designed for graphics on pavements, roads and car parks. One side of the product is coated with an aggressive, permanent, pressure sensitive adhesive that bonds well to flat or slightly rough pedestrian traffic surfaces.
This is laminated with a 385-micron clear satin, abrasive PVC surface which helps eliminate glare, reduces UV colour fade and provides a highly slip resistant finish. PrismaFLOOR Street X is rated as R12 according to DIN 51130 and BS7976-2: 2002. It is this super-durable laminate that gives PrismaFloor Street X its impressive slip rating and staying power. It has large abrasive particles bonded to a durable polymeric PVC which makes it suitable for exterior walkways and pavements. PrismaFLOOR Street X can be cut-to-shape to any bespoke cutter to create an array of design such as floor graphic logos, floor wayfinding and other novelty shapes. We always recommend that any particularly pointy shapes are designed with a radius, because these angles will often be the first places to lift.
StreetLam will bring to the printed image the high slip resistance required in exterior pedestrian walking areas.
Bleed – Please supply artwork with 5mm bleed
Colour – Please supply your artwork in CMYK and make sure that any critical colours are set up as Pantone spot colours. Provide a CMYK equivalent for any other special colours.
File Type – We prefer print-ready PDFs but we also accept artwork files supplied as Adobe Photoshop PSD, Illustrator AI/EPS and Indesign INDD if they’re supplied with fonts and links.
Fonts – Please ‘path’ your fonts. A PDF compression won’t embed them, so we kindly ask that you create outlines (path) your fonts or send the font files with the artwork.
Links – If you are supplying artwork in a format other than a PDF, please include all linked images and font files.
Pixels Per Inch – DPI determines the resolution (detail) of the artwork. Images with a low DPI can look blurry or pixelated when they’re printed. We prefer to work with a minimum of 300dpi.
Trim – There’s no need to add trim marks because our software can detect the art-board without them. If your artwork has a cutter, label the cutter using a spot colour called ‘CutContour’.
