Technical Specifications
This product has a premium feel that resembles the kitchen floor lino that you may be familiar with. The upper-most surface has a tough coating that we print directly to. PrismaFLOOR Lux is perfect for full-floor coverage in rooms, pop-up shops or large spaces such as exhibition areas. It can be easily rolled-up, stored away and reused at future events. It feels like a real floor with a printed design of your choice. The stable quality of the substrate means it can be printed with a full design over several widths to create large spaces such as the one we installed for City Hall in London.
PrismaFLOOR Lux is an off-white colour, so it may be beneficial to consider a white spot ink to cover areas that need to be a pure white. Our state-of-the-art UV printer can deliver rich pure white ink layer if required.
This polyester woven fabric (15%) is coated with a layer of PVC (85%) to provide a quality surface that delivers vibrant print results. The 2mm depth offers a light, springy texture that requires a diminishing strip or similar edging to remove any trip hazard.
Similar products would include PrismaFLOOR Tough because of its thickness and composition which is designed for long-term to permanent projects. However, the print of PhotoFLOOR Lux is applied to the face of the product, so will only last a few months depending on footfall.
PrismaFLOOR Lux is a spongy, foam-like material which is about 2mm thick. The surface has a harder coating which the ink adheres to with impressive durability and quality. The colour is slightly off-white, with a yellowish pigment, but this isn’t noticeable after a full ink coverage. If this is something that could be an issue, we can print white too.
Bleed - Please supply artwork with 10mm bleed
Colour - Please supply your artwork in CMYK and make sure that any critical colours are set up as Pantone spot colours. Provide a CMYK equivalent for any other special colours.
File Type - We prefer print-ready PDFs but we also accept artwork files supplied as Adobe Photoshop PSD, Illustrator AI/EPS and Indesign INDD if they’re supplied with fonts and links.
Fonts - Please ‘path’ your fonts. A PDF compression won’t embed them, so we kindly ask that you create outlines (path) your fonts or send the font files with the artwork.
Links - If you are supplying artwork in a format other than a PDF, please include all linked images and font files.
Pixels Per Inch - DPI determines the resolution (detail) of the artwork. Images with a low DPI can look blurry or pixelated when they’re printed. We prefer to work with a minimum of 300dpi.
Trim - There’s no need to add trim marks because our software can detect the art-board without them. If your artwork has a cutter, label the cutter using a spot colour called ‘CutContour’.
