THE BASICS

FabriSound™ panels are a proven solution to control sound reflections and excess reverberation which consist of a porous absorbing core, typically fibreglass, mineral wool, or foam, within the fabric frame system. Our capabilities enable us to use dye sublimation to print directly to the fabric with a design of your choice. Alternatively, our printed fabric graphics for wall coverings are extremely versatile and offer great value for money. Sound can either be absorbed, reflected, or diffused. This causes rooms with hard, flat surfaces to suffer from sound reflections and excessive reverberation, which in turn, can reduce music quality, speech clarity, and indeed comfort.

Our FabriSound™ graphic system allows the fabric faces to be easily replaced and updated if and when required. This solution is ideal for conference rooms, lecture halls, distance learning rooms, public spaces, listening rooms, recording and broadcast studios, post production studios, home theatres, rehearsal rooms, auditoriums, and performance spaces.

FABRISOUND™ FEATURES

Custom sizes and profile depths: The aluminium frames are made specifically for the area to achieve the most effective sound absorption with many profile depths to accommodate any absorbing core option. They can cover entire walls and ceilings or several smaller sections.

Printable: Our fabric faces can be printed with your supplied design, a replica of the decor/colour scheme, or our studio team can design your graphic from a brief.

Replaceable: FabriSound graphics can be easily replaced and updated when required which allows you to use the panels for marketing messages, brand awareness or sell advertising space.

Assessment and installation: Our professional consultants can carry out a site survey to recommend the best solution for your acoustic needs and then install the final product using our experienced and qualified fitters.

FABRIC™ SPECIFICATION

Our preferred fabric for the FabriSound™ system is a 215 gsm (+3%), 100% polyester substrate which is available in widths of 3200mm. It has been finished with INKTeX+BS® for direct print with diverse inks with flame retardant treatment. This fabric has been classified as DIN 4102-B1 and EN13501.

Our Airmesh is also suitable for the FabriSound system which is an antistatic, 100 gsm, 100% polyester. This soft, vented substrate is excellent for printing, tear proof and doesn’t fray.

FRAME SPECIFICATION

The aluminium frame is made from 6063 T6 aluminium or for some lo-profile, full wall covering solutions an extruded PVC frame. The sturdy, lightweight frame is available is many profiles depending on the appropriate absorption core.

GRAPHIC SYSTEM
Silicon beading is stitched to the edge of the fabric graphic, which sits securely into the aluminium frame.

APPLICATION USES

The FabriSound™ aluminium frame can be fabricated as one large frame, several connecting frames or a full wall/ceiling covering.

ABSORPTION RATES

Frequency can sometimes be referred to as the sound pitch. Examples of sounds in everyday life that would be considered low-frequency are a bass drum and tuba (between 45Hz and 350Hz). Sounds that would be considered high-frequency are a bird chirping (between 1500Hz and 3500Hz) or a triangle being played.

Frequency is not the same as how loud a sound is, this is measured in decibels. A high frequency sound can be emitted at either low or high decibels.

This graph shows the typical increase in absorption efficiency as a direct result of the core’s thickness. Additional low frequency absorption can be achieved by mounting the panel away from the wall.
