Of course! Our state-of-the-art UV printer with ultra-drop technology allows to us to print onto a huge range of products, including printed wood. This nine-ink machine prints up to 1000dpi and offers an opaque white ink. We love that our clients push the boundaries of conformism and their big ideas challenge us to create weird and wonderful items. We have printed onto ceramic tiles for a retail display, birch-ply and veneer for an interactive visitor centre and routered MDF for a major London attraction. Our capabilities are huge when creativity allows us.
We have recently created this flat-pack, printed wood chair from 18mm, texture-rich OSB board. This chair is made up of five simple pieces cut from a 1200 x 1500mm sheet. Our studio team designed and created the cutting form with the typographical white spot colour artwork. We printed directly to the sheet using our UV cured LED printer. The single strike print covered the wood beautifully, allowing only the textures of the wood grain to show through.
Our 3.2metre wide Zund cutting bed can cut up to 50mm deep, using a range of cutting tools depending the material. Our custom printed chair used a 6mm router tool and took just over 20 minutes to complete.
This simple printed piece of furniture serves as an example as to what can be produced using just a small selection of our production capabilities. Why not talk to us about your next big ideas and how we can help you achieve it.
