Read about our print and installation of a high quality, high impact branding and imagery which acted as a backdrop at the Turner Contemporary in Margate.

Last month, we were set one of our biggest challenges to date. To celebrate the inauguration of London Array, the worlds largest offshore wind farm, we were tasked with the production of large amounts of displays and graphics for the inauguration and then to install it all in under twelve hours! The challenge was to create extremely high quality, high impact branding and imagery as a backdrop for the inauguration event held at Turner Contemporary in Margate. The high profile event was to have full media coverage and attended by VIPs including the Prime Minister and other dignitaries. With a limited window to complete and a zero flexibility schedule, we put a team of seven of our most experienced installers onto the project. Attention to detail, flexibility and above all cannot fail completion of install for 6am on the day of the event were key to the task.

The project required the install of the following;

-Over 90sq/m of contravision to install (at coastal resort where it can be very windy hence why they built the wind farm there!)

-Over 9sq/m of interior glazing film

-3 x LED tension fabric light boxes

-Over 135sq/m of dye sublimated fabric graphics

-60m of floor graphic strips

-Approx 5sq/m of floor graphic

-A free-standing modular exhibition stand

-65 MDF panels

-Various other small signs and way finding elements.

We were more than up to the challenge and following the successful through-the-night install the event was a huge success and it was widely agreed the setting befitted such an auspicious event. Once all attendees had departed, the challenge was then on to take it all back down. Once this was completed the team all had a well-earned beer!

We are very proud to have been involved with such an exciting project like London Array and help make it a success on a global scale. MX were really on hand every step of the way helping to test different materials so we could get the maximum effect from the large scale graphics and suggesting solutions which reflected the importance of the event. They recognised the importance of the event and therefore went above and beyond our expectations when producing the graphics, all the way through to the build up and breakdown in the tight timescales!
