Find out how we brought our stand visitors to their knees with some creative flooring graphics and why they said we were the most interesting thing they’d seen at the flooring show 2014.
We have recently been putting our new VUTEK GS3250LX Ultradrop printer to the test with a colourful stand graphic for the Flooring Show 2014. It was the first time we had exhibited at this three day event in Harrogate, which has seen the industry gather from around the globe, every year since the 1960s. The exhibition promotes the latest innovations in flooring substrates to the commercial sector, from manufacturers to interior designers. A relatively new addition to the show; ‘The Trends Hub’ pushed the boundaries of flooring applications using cutting-edge technologies and products to wow the crowds with the creative possibilities.
As the only ‘custom printed flooring system’ at the show, we were also showcasing something new with our revolutionary G-Floor product and we were overwhelmed by the interest. We met hundreds of people from all kinds of sectors from theme parks and sporting arenas through to showrooms and manufacturers, all keen to learn about G-floor and its fabulous properties. Our new connections loved the fact that there is no minimum order quantity, so we can print small branded mats and also ‘cold-weld’ to cover huge areas. Another attractive feature is that G-Floor has a 1.9mm wear-layer for the ultimate durability in heavy-traffic areas. Other customers were impressed that we can even colour-match to Pantones with remarkable accuracy using the latest VUTEk rip software.
Our stand was designed to demonstrate the creative opportunities using G-Floor with vibrant block colours, text and high resolution photo-quality images. To really drive this message we printed an actual-size twenty pound note onto the floor which fooled quite a few victims before they were down on their knees trying to pick it up! We also printed a sandy beach, tarmac, lush grass, a road map and also a fun illustrated map, ideal for children’s areas in nurseries, waiting rooms or hospitals.
Overall, we received an incredible volume of interest, with a few people commenting that we were the most interesting thing at the show. The three days were extremely well attended with visitors from around the world and we found the experience very rewarding. See you again next year!
