If you’re looking to transform a commercial space with office graphics, whether it’s for your own office or a client’s, it’s likely there’ll be a budget. And of course, no matter what the size or success of the business, everyone wants value for money. Getting the best bang for your buck isn’t about the cheapest option. It’s about delivering the biggest impact in the most cost effective way. And we pride ourselves on delivering creative office graphics that keep within the budget and, at the same time, knock everyone’s socks off.
It’s what sets us apart from the rest. We know our stuff and we know how to make the materials work harder for your project. Our design decisions consider roll widths, sheet sizes and tolerances, which means we won’t suggest an expensive solution when we can advise that making your logo 15mm smaller will save you an expensive upgrade in stock size. Our high-tech production facility is part MX Display. Our team of print gurus and technical minds are are only a tea-round away from our studio and project managers, so we work together to deliver your project for the best value.
Take a step back and look at the space. View it as a new visitor. Sometimes it’s difficult to see passed the recycling bins, photocopier and coat stands. Don’t just look for a clear space of wall for your office graphics, because sometimes the clutter first needs removing first. Choose a feature wall. The clearest wall might be a narrow bulkhead, or a gap by the toilets – but this won’t make an impact and it certainly won’t make a bang. It might seem cheaper to add vinyl text to the vertical pillars, but it’ll make more of an impression by leaving them well alone and putting one large office graphic on the back wall, where everyone can see it.
If there just isn’t a suitable wall anywhere, but you want to make that impact then we can build one. Not with the traditional bricks and mortar method, but something a lot more cost effective. Our freestanding fabric frame systems are fastened securely to the floor and ceiling with a fabric graphic mounted to both sides. These office graphics are easily updateable and no-one will know it’s fabric unless they touch it.
If there’s an area that you want to use but there’s a window in the way, or a door in the middle, let’s talk about it. We might have just the solution to help. Our professional installation team are fully qualified and very experienced in disguising doors with graphics, hiding unused window frames and covering poor quality walls with clever fabric systems. Our office graphics aren’t limited to custom printed wallpaper, we also produce branded dry-wipe boards, magnetic noticeboards, acoustic solutions and light boxes. This means we will recommend a creative approach to whatever wall dilemma you might have.

Here are our top five tips for getting more bang for your buck. Make the budget work harder and make more impact.
Go big or go home. The larger the wall, the more bang you’ll get for your buck. Focus your budget on a feature wall to grab attention and transform the space for the entire room. It might cost a little more, but you won’t be paying for material wastage and the installation cost will be more economical than paying for several smaller installations.
Pillars and bulkheads are usually architectural anomalies that are there to hold the ceiling up. They break up an open space and punctuate your view across the room. To make the space feel light and airy, avoid drawing attention to them by painting them a brand colour or embellishing them with graphics unless there’s a useful purpose to it.
Make effective use of material sizes. Many of our sheet materials are a standard size and we keep stock of the popular ones. A simple 1250 x 1600mm graphic panel won’t fit on a standard sheet, so we’d have to use a larger sheet and there would be a considerable amount of wastage. A simple design tweak to make the size 1200 x 1200 would more than halve your material costs. And reducing the design to just 1200 x 1400m would mean you could print two on a sheet and avoid any wastage costs, getting two for almost the price of one. It’s simple planning that gets you more for your money.
Everyone knows where they work. And clients know where they are because they’ve made the journey to be there. A brand logo is great for a reception area and it’s ideal for video conferencing backdrops. Beyond that, logos are often unnecessary. Budget is better spent on communicating values, mission and company statements which speak in the brand tone to both staff and customers alike.
Future-proofing your office graphics is sure-fire a way to save money in the long run. Consider walls and spaces that will still be there in 18 months. Liaising with the estates team or office manager will avoid a surprise television screen or fire extinguisher point appearing in the centre of your new office graphic. Also think about desk positioning and wheather this will block any new wall displays.
