An exciting project at The Mall Luton, creating a go-to destination for food lovers visiting the shopping centre. Feast Street, a new concept for The Mall, was home to a different array of food outlets, situated down an avenue of the centre.

We worked very closely with Simon Inc design agency, to print and install a supersize flexface entrance sign, 3 illuminated hanging rings and freestanding illuminated totem signs.

The flexface entrance sign was made up two retrofitted flexface profiles, making one super-sized entrance sign

The LED hanging rings were made using our FabriFrame system, but to create the framework as a ceiling hung light was completely unique. Each light was made up of dye sublimated tension fabric, silicone stitched around the edge as normal. However, each ring was upward lit and downward lit with LED’s, illuminating it on all angles.

Each ring stood 80cm tall and was neatly hung from the ceiling to bring immediate attention to this avenue of glorious food. The LED’s used on the rings give off an amazing light, and the impact they make is a fantastic feature.

The Mall’s brief to create a zoned food destination for visitors was a definitely a unique one, being home to 3 of the largest LED illuminated hanging rings we have ever custom made for a client. We were very proud to be able to fulfil the ambitious project for our client, a perfect example of how we can bring BIG IDEAS to life!

The hanging rings were completely unique, although they look simple, they were very difficult to produce. Illuminating them on all four sides was definitely a challenge, but we fulfilled the brief perfectly.
