Brooksby Melton College, set over two large campuses, recently underwent an exciting £27.7 million redevelopment. As part of this project, we were invited to design and deliver their wayfinding strategy that promised to align the two sites with a consistent style and brand feel.

This was a great project that employed a variety of wayfinding systems for multiple environments. We needed to consider vehicle traffic, visitors and students that would need directional signage in both isolated, rural locations and busy, urban settings.

The signage strategy follows our ‘Critical Information’ method which analyses when information should be delivered and how that can be communicated in its simplest form, such as colour coding or pictographs.

Our client has been delighted with the results and already noticed how visitors are moving about the site without getting lost or confused. It was a great project to be involved with and has only added to our knowledge and expertise of branding school environments, effectively.

Much of the wall-mounted signage used our innovative product 'Pure Core’, which is perfect for this type of project, both inside and out. 'Pure Core' protects against temperature-induced warping and its surface is highly durable.
