We are a leading UK printer and installer of large format graphics for backdrop printing and wall graphics. Our state-of-the-art in-house printers used both dye-sublimation and UV printing techniques depending on your requirements. Our studio team can design the graphic for you, or you can simply supply your print-ready artwork.
The beauty of MX Display is that we control every step of the process. No third parties. We’ll handle your printed backdrop from start to finish.
There are several types of backdrop printing depending on the requirements. The end result is always a vibrant, high definition print to quality materials.
We print fabric up to 3 metres wide and up 50 meters long. Our fabric are 100% polyester and can be recycled through specific channels. Once printed with your custom design, the backdrop can be used in one of several ways:
All these are compatible with our very popular Eco Fabric, which is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles! Depending on the requirement, we also have fabrics made from recycled polyester too.
Foamex is a cost effective sheet material that we print to direct. It is great for cladding a wall as a temporary solution. Foamex is a plastic based product, making it water resistant and lightweight. These sheets can be tiled together to create a continuous graphic. The standard sheet size is 1220 x 2440mm and usually available in 1mm, 3mm, 5mm and 10mm. Foamex can be applied to a wall with an adhesive such as gel-tape or velcro tape or mechanically fixed to a timber frame.
Portable, popup display stands are common in the events and exhibition industry. They are a lightweight, expandable rod system with magnetic graphics that can easily be updated. The popup itself comes in a range of sizes including straight lines, wavy and curved designs to cover a broad range of footprints. Popup stands are great for product launches, celebrity appearances, book signings and television interviews when the events may tour around the country. Popup stands provide a consistent backdrop for media coverage, photo opportunities and brand awareness.
Low-adhesive wallpaper is very popular with museums, galleries and pop-up retail stores. It can totally transform your space and is completely removable, leaving no residue. This product makes a great backdrop graphic for short term events as long as the wall is of good quality. This will not fix to brick or stonework, when a fabric system would be better suited.

Fabric BackdropsWe printed and produced a selection of graphics, including vibrant fabric graphics, custom wallpaper and printed window films, cut brushed steel lettering and acrylic text.
We suggested a clever fabric system called FabriFrame to partition the canteen serving area from the eating area which spanned across a busy thoroughfare. This solution offered some acoustic benefit in a large room and visually created a printed backdrop for staff to relax or eat their lunch. The frames had a double-sided graphic that promoted their cars in food-related surroundings.
FabriGrab is a versatile system which we used for the printed backdrop behind the Kia car. The fabric uses a thin frame that sits only a few millimetres away from the wall to create a bright, smooth finish. It is ideal for walls that are damaged or uneven. The low-profie of FabriGrab means it can easily be fitted around sockets and switches to give an appearance of wallpaper without any joins. It can be easily updated with a new fabric design when required.

Fabric SignageThis was a fantastic project that included a wide variety of custom wall graphics and signage, which delivered a superb finish for our friends at Ashlar Projects. We worked closely with the interior design team at Ashlar to turn their big ideas into production-ready artwork, all of which is printed and cut in-house and installed by our professional installation team.
Their tech client, DigiHaul had converted old stables into inspirational offices that promoted teamwork, creativity and sustainability. The design took inspiration from Hatfield House itself with features such as panelling, exposed oak beams, oak staircases, The Sundial Kitchen, The Culture Hub and the Queen Elizabeth I Café Area. Each space throughout the building is filled with motivational & inspirational quotes creating a stimulating and welcoming environment for employees.
The spaces reflect the history of the building as well as incorporating modern features inspired by the digital and logistic nature of the company. The Performance room colours and wall graphics hint at futuristic, digitalisation and highlight the relationship to the company itself, all whilst sat within the historical space providing visual comparison between past & future. The themed meeting rooms create a contemporary immersive atmosphere providing users with a unique experience. These also took inspiration from the history of the house including movies filmed there and a gallery of historical images from its Royal past.
This large project was installed by 4 of our fitting team over 5 days. Working alongside fellow contractor, our team had to be flexible and time-efficent to ensure that they building was signed off and handed-over on time.

We have specialist software to enhance poor-quality imagery, but there’s a limit to our magic. So it’s best to get a sample or at least one of our studio team to check the image. To create our fabric display graphics, we print your designs onto our Eco Fabric. This planet-friendly fabric is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and is completely recyclable too. Each roll we print saves over 3,000 bottles from ending up in the ocean. It’s also a great option if you need regularly swap out seasonal campaigns because it pairs perfectly with our aluminium FABRIFrames. We’ll print a new design and send it out to you in the post. All you need to do is recycle the new one and pop it into the frame.
