The National Memorial Arboretum honours the fallen, recognises service, sacrifice and fosters pride in our country. It is a spiritually-uplifting place and is emerging as a world-renowned centre for remembrance. We were very proud to be commissioned by Realm Projects to provide the museum wall graphics and signage for this visitor attraction. Designed by leading museum design teams, Real Studios and graphic designers, Anonymous, we had to print onto, fabricate and supply a range of materials to create impactful and lasting displays.

We provided over 100 prints onto stained and FR-rated birch ply to create unique and eye-catching 3D displays. Large four-metre-tall wallpaper drops had to be installed with millimetre precision to line up with the exhibits and display cabinets in the museum space.

Some walls within the outdoor shelter areas made use of in-situ screen printing, because the surfaces couldn’t be brought to our production facility.  Screen printing directly to the surfaces offers a lovely raw finish and removes the ‘pickability’ issue. Numerous colour tests and samples on a range of materials were produced to ensure the exacting standards of the designers were met. This included some technical spot white prints with various opacities of white so just the right amount of wood grain could still be seen through some prints.
